It is time to share with you the planned expansion 4.9 changes!

First things first, we decided to rename the expansion 4.9 to 2024.3. This new name is clearer and intuitive. From now on, we will use this template for future expansions (2025.1, 2025.2, etc..).

We worked around the clock to make this expansion available for you at the end of this year. It is a shorter expansion, but with several new features and content!

The year-end expansion theme focuses on orcs! With their brutality and hostility, they bring a variety of new types, from subordinates to fierce leaders. The expansion presents a story entirely dedicated to orcs, with connections to various regions of the game. The orcs are eagerly awaiting the heroes of the Kakele kingdom; in Walfendah, their base will be ready to challenge both beginner and veteran players.

In this expansion, the team focused on player quality of life! For a good MMORPG, it’s essential that players feel comfortable and at ease, with mechanics that make gameplay smoother and less tiring. This is the first major expansion with this focus, while still introducing new content and mechanics!

Some Major Updates for the Update 4.7

Attention players!

Get ready for Update 4.7, an upgrade shaped by your valuable feedback and by our gameplay data analysis. We are working hard to improve the experience of everyone in Kakele. We’re excited to unveil enhancements designed to balance and enrich both the PvE and PvP aspects of our game. Here’s what’s in store:

1) Revamping Necklace Acquisition: The once NPC-sold, overpowered necklaces and charms will now be exclusive high level mob drops. This change addresses their disproportionate power in the current game meta, ensuring a fair and rewarding challenge.

2) Evolving Charms: The ‘Gold Anti Spell Charm’ and ‘Gold Defense Charm’ are leveling up! These will now be known as ‘Crystal Charms’, accessible at level 600, offering the same potent effects. To cater to our newer players, we’re introducing less powerful variants for the lower levels, maintaining game balance across all stages.

3) New Defensive Necklace: A game-changer for level 600 players, especially those with low armor vocations. This new necklace grants an impressive 100% armor boost for 60 seconds, significantly enhancing survivability in critical combat scenarios. Less powerful variants will also be introduced for lower levels.

4) Hunter Class Update: The Ultimate Windrun spell is getting a level tweak. Now available at level 600 with the same mana requirements. For lower-level Hunters we’ve got you covered with a new, less powerful version of this spell.

5) Alchemist Class Balance: We’re redefining the Alchemist’s debuff spell. Previously at 100% probability, it now comes in three levels, each with increasing probability and level requirements, topping at 100% for level 600 players. This tiered approach introduces strategic depth to the Alchemist’s gameplay, while keeping their strength the same at the highest levels.

6) Warrior Class Enhancements: Warriors, get ready for more tactical depth with two new spells. The first, a novel spell to cancel ‘reflect damage’, adding a new layer to your combat strategy. The second, a much-anticipated Call spell at level 600, specifically designed to reduce trolls, following popular demand.

These changes represent our commitment to a dynamic, balanced, and engaging gaming experience. Exciting news from the realms of Kakele! We’re thrilled to announce an upcoming overhaul of our beloved map events, aimed at rekindling the spirit of adventure and community. Remember the glory days of the Glitch event? Those times when players rallied together for a thrilling quest and rich rewards? We’re bringing that back, but even better!

Why the change? We’ve noticed our higher-level adventurers have been giving these events a miss, as the experience (XP) gains didn’t quite match up to their hunting exploits. But Kakele is more than just relentless grinding; it’s about diverse, engaging experiences. We want to reignite the fun and camaraderie that map events used to offer.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Introducing the ‘Dungeon’ Status: Just like in our infinite dungeons, events will now have a ‘strength cap’, injecting a fresh layer of challenge and excitement.
  • Level-Based XP Rewards: No matter your level, participating in events will now yield XP tailored to you. This means more motivation for all to join in the fun!

Fewer Trolls On PvE Servers

Dear players,

We recently proposed improvements to the PvE servers to deal more effectively with trolls in bosses. After receiving a lot of valuable feedback, we will be implementing the following change for the next update:

  • Introducing a new “Call” spell for the warrior.
  • When using “Call” on a boss, the warrior creates a status that lasts 4 seconds on the boss.
  • During this period, other warriors cannot use “Call” on the same boss.
  • The idea is to allow experienced warriors to control the boss without interference from trolls.

Dear valued Players,

We are excited to share with you an innovative feature coming to our game update in April: the introduction of World Wars. This new feature, that was voted by you, is designed to bring an exhilarating dimension to your gaming experience, and we are eager to hear your feedback as we fine-tune its implementation.

Here’s an overview of how the World Wars will unfold:

  • Each week, one of our ten servers will be designated as the ‘War Server.’ This means every server will experience the thrill of war once every two months.
  • Players from non-war servers can join the ‘War Server’ at no extra cost, from the main menu. They can go back to their server for free as well. There is no cooldown, you just have to logout and login again.
  • Participants from other servers will be granted a ‘Yellow Sword’ status, akin to the existing ‘Conqueror’ status. This means they can be engaged in combat on optional PvP servers, and any conflict resulting in their defeat will be deemed ‘justified.’
  • While ‘invaders’ can explore the entire map, including bosses and NPCs, certain functionalities like the market, trade, mail, housing, and guild systems will be unavailable to them. Additionally, any loot they drop upon defeat will be permanently lost. To use those systems, they have to go back to their server (which is super easy and straightforward, see above).
  • A unique ‘Global Fortress’ will be added to the map. Here, an event will be activated every 10 hours, similar to our existing fortresses (such as the Muroria fortress), but with a focus on server-based combat rather than guild rivalry.
  • The victorious server in these fortress battles will receive a random boost on their home server, lasting between 3-6 hours.
  • A new ranking system will be introduced to track each server’s success in the global fortress events. The top-ranking server at the end of the year will be rewarded with exclusive boosts and a special event in Kakelium. This ranking will reset annually, but we will keep the history of the results in our hall of fame.
  • There is also a badge for the top 3 servers (like the badge of top experience, achievements and pet level).
  • We recognize the advantage of lower ping times for players on their ‘home server.’ To address this, we’ve implemented a strategic server rotation to ensure fairness.
  • Additionally, we’re constantly refining our network algorithms to enhance the gaming experience for everyone. However, we kindly ask for your understanding that increased ping times may occur for players joining servers at significant geographical distances, such as connecting from South America to Southeast Asia. Rest assured, we are committed to providing the best possible experience for all our players, regardless of their location.

The Island of Saint Mardi

Hello everyone!

The year 2023 is coming to an end. It was an incredible year for Kakele. The game grew and so did the team. We attended 3 major gaming industry events and met some of you there.

As a thank you, we have worked hard over the last few months to release the last update of the year, version 4.6!

In this new update, you will discover Saint Mardi, a distant island, which was forgotten by the main continent. With a sinister theme, you must unravel the mysteries of those lands and find the final treasure! Special thanks to André, who helped us create this new content.

As we have done in recent updates, the new content covers all levels, being divided into three chapters: one easy, one medium and one hard.

In addition to Saint Mardi, we are also introducing some important changes. Notice that these are being tested, and we are looking for your feedback during the test server. Please test these in the test server before sending feedback, as we want you to experience the changes before making constructive comments!!

– New Clothing System: A completely new system is being introduced! You can build your old outfit part by part (and of course the old outfits you have are automatically being converted to these parts), including new clothing pieces that are available for a unique look and feel for your character! In it, there are 5 different layers that can be customized. For each layer, there are several pieces of clothing and adornments that can be used, called addons. The possibilities are enormous and you will be able to create unique appearances for your character. The current clothing system will still exist and most clothing from the current system will be converted to the new system. Don’t worry, if you have an outfit from the current system that will be converted, you won’t lose the pieces. If you do, please let us know, because we will fix it!

– Warlord Items: Warlord equipment and weapons of all types and energies have been introduced into the game. Current warlord weapons have not changed and are not part of this new system. In short, you will be able to collect energy cores around the map (through missions that involve defeating specific bosses) that can be exchanged for warlord items. Warlord items can only be used by players level 1000 or higher, and, as a rule of thumb, a warlord item is only better than its equivalent golden dragon item after 3 blessings and is only better than its equivalent disaster item after 6 blessings. Still, blessing a warlord item will be considerably more expensive. More details can be found within the game, and we will also answer questions in the podcasts or in our Discord.

– Sales system: stay tuned! Now we will be able to launch sales with incredible discounts within the game, at any time! Whether it’s a discount on a pet, mount, premium days or anything else that can be purchased with Kakele coins!

– Temporary map changes: A system of temporary map changes has been introduced. Along with this system, Christmas events, Kakele’s birthday (in February), Valentine’s Day, Easter and Halloween were redesigned. All of these events will bring temporary changes to the map, as well as new items, clothing items and mechanics.

– Improvement in pets: there is a new optional mode for pets! Before you summon your pet, you can choose if they will have HP! This means they can be attacked by the creatures, but only if you choose to do so. Each pet has a different amount of life, and as it levels up, it gains more life. Evolved pets will have the double HP. If the pet dies in battle, it will spawn again in 1 minute. Additionally, the pet will receive a considerable level bonus if you are playing solo. If you uncheck this option, then the pet will work just like it did before this update (no health, and monsters will not attack it, and it does not die).

Finally, we also worked on smaller changes, as usual, but no less important, which are listed below and grouped into categories.

Quality of life improvements:

– Items on the map floor (i.e. trash) will be removed after 3 days
– Items that can be turned in missions glow in backpack and loot. This option can be disabled
– More sorting options in the bestiary have been added
– Text effects and their overlay on the map have been reworked
– Added an option to hide game notification icons
– Added an alert when items are purchased with non-transferable Kakele coins, which makes them bound to the player
– NPCs with quests shine on the map
– Added an option to reject mail from strangers. Blocked mail will remain pending until the sender cancels the mail entry
– The minimap size will be larger if your screen is large
– Objects in the house editor have been grouped into categories
– Item market windows have been reworked to improve the experience when buying and selling items

New features that make the game easier:

– All mounts will have a situational benefit (that is, they are useful in certain contexts). Each mount has a description of its benefit
– To ride your mount, it is now not necessary to be out of battle. All you need to do is not attack or use offensive spells
– When you touch a player and hold down the controller to move towards them, your character will automatically swap places with the other player. This option can be disabled
– Training at the gym can be extended by up to 6 hours by viewing ads
– Daily rewards can be collected every hour if the player watches an ad

New content:

– More common items ranging levels 250 to 500 have been introduced. They can be purchased from the explorers guild in Norde
– More cloaks (armor with magic) have been added, covering different levels

Rebalances:

– The golden buff will be removed from the player if he attacks another player
– Repeating tasks to defeat monsters and deliver items after level 100 requires premium
– Reputation coins in certain missions have been readjusted
– Poisonous beetle loot has been readjusted
– Corrupted bow and axe have been retuned
– The Manejai helmet will make the player faster underwater. Additionally, the underwater hunting ground has been improved
– The strength of the strongest cyclopes and the frequency of their spells have been reduced. Hunting grounds have been reworked and several obstacles have been removed from the map
– Chromatic dragon hunting rotation has been improved and the frequency of their spells has been reduced
– Sky elves, Jaybee and Alamogordo had their gold readjusted
– Creatures from the abyss have had their loot reduced and new skills have been added. A new direct shortcut to Abroba has been introduced
– Sky pirates had new skills added

Others:

– A new experience animation has been added
– When purchasing Kakele coins, or when using coupons, it will be possible to add a streamer code, which will help your favorite streamer
– Animations will play on the map when other players interact with objects
– Removed poison immunity, which was not used in the game
– Reorganized the character list window and added extra information such as Discord and Twitch links
– Reorganized the daily rewards window
– Removed the option to buy Kakele coins with Nanos
– Added validations to Xsolla purchases, preventing the purchase if an invalid email is used
– Pumpkins in the Halloween event will now be locked on the altar for a while
– Some sounds have been reworked to be less annoying
– Minimum char market price depends on level
– An icon has been added to the Kakele executable
– Dungeon cooldown is 20 minutes for free accounts

Bug fixes:

– Fixed a vibration crash on iOS
– Fixed an underwater mount speed bug
– Fixed players being kicked out of the gym early
– Fixed melee vocations not attacking a player if both are fast and running across the map
– PvP swords bug in coliseum fixed

The target date for the public test server is on the 29th of November, and we are aiming to update the game on the week of the 6th of December.

Are you ready for the new content ranging levels 50-800+? Discover the new dwarven mountains and mines and go deep in exploration of their caves. Ghorannon is back! The leader of the darkness nights will bring fear upon all Kakele! Welcome to Kakele 4.5, which brings the changes listed below!

We’ve introduced a new feature called the “bestiary” based on feedback from players. The bestiary system works like this: Whenever you defeat monsters in the game, you keep track of how many of each type you’ve defeated. There are three levels of targets for each monster:

Easy: Defeat about 100 monsters of a particular type (the exact number may vary based on the monster strength). Completing this level gives you a 5% damage reduction against that type of monster and 5% extra experience when fighting them*.
Medium: Defeat around 1000 monsters of a specific type (again, the exact number depends on the monster strength). Completing this level gives you a 10% damage reduction against that type of monster and 10% extra experience from them*.
Hard: Defeat about 10,000 monsters of a particular type (which also depends on the monster strength). Completing this level gives you a 15% damage reduction against that type of monster and 15% extra experience from them*.

We’re also adding two new boosts to the game: a “bestiary server boost” that benefits everyone in the server and a “bestiary player boost” that gives advantages to individual players. (*) When you activate the bestiary boosts, you’ll receive the bonuses, listed above, you’ve earned in your bestiary.

Additionally, achieving the “Hard” level completion for each monster (you can do this once per monster type) will grant you +2 to your attack, armor, and magic stats. Since there are about 200 different types of monsters, you have the potential to gain up to 450 points in each stat if you complete all of them. However, it’s important to note that this “buff” only activates when you defeat a monster while the bestiary boost is activated.

Finally, when you achieve the “Hard” level of a monster, you will receive for free the bestiary boost for a given amount of hours, yet to be defined based on the test server.

In summary, the bestiary is a new system that encourages players to defeat various monsters to earn bonuses like damage reduction and extra experience. There are different levels of achievement, and completing the challenging “Hard” level for each monster type will also boost your character’s stats when the bestiary boost is active.

We have also parsed your feedback and discussed with the community in the Discord forums about vocation balancing. We have also analyzed more than 3 months of data that we have gathered since the last update. We are modifying some vocations as follows:
– Alchemist: the mana shield spell will now have two charges. The charges stack, the first time you cast it, it will activate the mana shield at 1 charge. The second time it will go from 1 to 2 charges. This means you will need to debuff a player twice to remove its mana shield when they have it at 2 charges, as it will go from 2 to 1 charge first, and then if debuffed again, it goes to 0 charges.
– Mage: the synergy spell will now make the monsters absorb 50% of the damage caused by players to the mage’s health. The mana shield change also affects mages.
– Berserker: improved the damage formula (more like the old formula).
– Warrior: monsters will no longer flee if affected by the warrior’s call. Their return damage was increased by 30% if hunting solo. Warriors’ damages are also improved by the change of formula above.
– Hunter: also affected by the damage formula improvement, which improves the blocking of damage issue.

A new major feature was added: infinite dungeons! You will be able to team up (or even go solo) with other random players and enter a random generated dungeon based on your team’s levels. At the end of the dungeon, you will fight a boss and receive reputation coins! You will be able to loop forever the dungeon challenges!

We have also made a lot of improvements in other areas of the game, based on your feedback, forum discussions and interactions with other gaming companies in the industry:
– Discord account linking will now be done through the game app.
– Added Twitch drops integration, which will grant rewards for watching people stream Kakele on Twitch! Rewards and coupons will include the already available options and mounts, outfits, pets, non-transferable Kakele coins and items!
– Reworked the reputation system. Players will now ask for help to complete quests. You just need to be near the player upon quest completion to receive the reputation coins reward. Each quest will provide a different amount of reputation coins, based on their difficulty.
– Mobile players will now be able to watch an ad to receive rewards. You will be able to collect a daily reward again when watching an ad (once every 6h). When entering the gym, you will be able to extend the training time by 30 minutes. Note that these rewards are specific to situations where the player can be AFK. This means that PC players can log in through their phones to receive these rewards as well.
– Game events will now show when they will trigger. The event keys were deprecated, and you will be able to activate events directly through a new event shop window. Prices will scale up for each quick activation.
– We worked on several chat features. Emojis were added to the game! Mobile keybords will now use all the phone’s available features, such as word suggestions. The game now has automatic translation too!
– We also took the time to add animations to several game sprites when interacting with them. We also revamped several old game sprites and added lots of new sprite variations, making the game more alive!

Several changes were made to the game tutorial to help newbies to learn the Kakele way easier and stick with us:
– Tutorial effects now have a fade in effect.
– Added a base attack cooldown effect.
– Improved the guiding arrow for when the player needs to defeat monsters or collect items.
– Added a capybara card chest. Players will no longer start the game with the card in their backpack.
– Added new hint icons and text to game windows.
– Changed and reorganized the tutorial. The changes are many and we will be brief here. Try the new tutorial out and let us know what you think! Put your mom to play the game and send us hers feedback!
– Creatures targets will lock in the same creature now. Target spells will target automatically monsters. The old behavior can be enabled in the game options.
– Revamped the storyline window and split its information into two different windows.
– Revamped the quests window.
– Players will get notified when they attack mobs from PZ.
– Revamped the vocation choosing window.
– Revamped icons glowing in the game.
– Added a new experience effect.
– Revamped the referrals window.

We worked hard to make sure the game runs smoothly and doesn’t crash. Here are some changes we are making:
– Fixed game resolution in almost square screens.
– Added logic to enable level up screenshots automatically only if the device can handle screenshots in a few milliseconds.
– Optimized the map loading to avoid the device running out of memory.
– Added several game client improvements to run smoother on potato devices.
– Decreased the game app significantly by downloading assets on demand.
– Reworked the light system to run faster.

We also fixed some bugs in the game client and introduced quality of life features:
– Fixed party progress bars being empty on some occasions.
– Improved the web shop user flow so players make less mistakes and receive their Kakele coins accordingly.
– Fixed a bug when clicking house beds and not being invited to the house.
– Improved timeout handling when connecting to the game server.
– Reorganized the game window icons to make the screen less polluted.
– Added a new mana shield effect to help players identify whether they have the mana shield buff. You will see the effect in party members as well.
– Added a confirmation for when clicking the leave party button.
– Added auto-paste to OTPs.
– Improved buffs remaining time and value display.
– Revamped the hotkeys chooser window.
– Improved the minimap clicking by choosing nearby positions if the selected position cannot be reached.
– Added detailed messages for when players change advanced options.
– Swap items if dragging one above the other.
– Added vibration support to iOS.

We heard your feedback on game content and mechanics, and we made the following revamps and introduced the following new content:
– Parties of 5 vocations will now receive a bonus of 20% experience.
– Reworked mounts speed: haste buffs will have no effect when mounted. Note that even so, you will be faster if mounted.
– Players will dismount with the PK mark.
– Added new game monster cards.
– Decreased the cost to purchase mounts directly from the game shop.
– Added new name colors.
– Added an elite pirate’s hunt.
– Added hints and better rewards for the Krakelen quest.
– Added a shortcut to the Kebelessa bank from within the city.
– Kajin Fighter and Kajin Warlord had their experience reduced. Accessing the Kajins’ area now requires level 600.
– Monsters will remove the player’s buffs less often.
– Improved cyclops hunts by adding a shortcut to the castle and by changing the elite instance location.
– Made the cyclops priest to be close range combat.
– Corrupted earth elemental elite cave was moved to a better spot.
– Corrupted fairies were moved to a separate section of the corrupted hunt, making it easier depending on your hunting loop.
– Improved the elf guardian map.
– Revamped the undead dragon’s hunt.
– Fixed the Spiro Giro beam jump.
– Added the mounts wiki, which will be available soon.
– Increased mermaid chests respawn time.
– Fixed some story dialogues in multiple languages.
– Respawns in new servers will be faster during the first hours/day.
– Merged the clan events into one, so it is easier to complete the quest.
– Fixed some map locations to avoid players receiving experience outside of hunts or trapping others easily.
– Added more common items until level 250. They are sold in a new NPC in Norde.
– The seahorse mount provides extra speed underwater.

Some game features were rolled back or removed:
– Removed recovery keys from the game. Due to multiple accounts getting hacked because of recovery keys, we decided to remove the feature from the game. Now, changing emails will cost Kakele coins as before.
– Removed Reddit from the game client.
– Removed game text guides.

And there are other new exciting features we worked on:
– Added ranking titles. Top players from experience, achievements and pet points rankings will have a badge displayed next to their names inside the game!
– Added the cards album, so players can collect their cards and add them to their cool album.
– Added a new server boost: pet training x2 faster.
– Added evolved pets! When pets reach level 100, you will be able to go through the evolving ritual by paying gold and Kakele coins. They will have a new game look and will use their skills faster.
– Added an achievements window.
– Added new icons options to the friend list.
– Added new effects when completing quests, storyline chapters and advancing levels.
– When completing a quest, the reward window will open automatically if there are available items to collect.
– Android app reviews will now be prompted from within the game.
– Revamped the task NPC window. It will be easier to navigate through the available quests and delivering item tasks will be much easier/faster now!
– Added effects when adding/removing items on the floor.

More changes added:
– The sea snail magic resistance spell was increased from 5% to 10%.
– King Kajin, Zuzba and Zeniva were slightly nerfed.

This update brings numerous exciting features and improvements, making the game even more engaging and immersive. Let’s take a closer look at some of the most significant changes in this update.

First and foremost, a group system has been added to Kakele, allowing players to form teams and cooperate with each other more easily. This feature will bring several benefits to the players, including a 10% increase in experience if all vocations are present in the group. The group will be able to enter the same instance, have an exclusive chat, and can be formed by up to 10 players (however, it is important to remember that from 6 players on, the monsters’ experience decreases). We ask that you test this functionality and share your feedback.

Certainly, this feature will improve the social aspect of the game, allowing players to work together to complete missions and defeat challenging enemies.

Mounts have been added to Kakele, allowing players to travel across the game world more quickly. This feature is sure to make the game feel more immersive, as players can now ride on the backs of various creatures.

Another addition to Kakele is the new quest progress pane. This feature displays a player’s current task progress, making it easier to keep track of what needs to be done next. It’s a useful addition that can save players time and prevent frustration.

The berserk damage system has been changed to prevent its hits from getting blocked by low level creatures. This change will make berserk damage more effective and prevent players from wasting their powerful attacks on weaker enemies.

The game tutorial has been revamped to make it more comprehensive and accessible to new players. It’s a welcome change that will help newcomers understand the game’s mechanics and features, while presenting them the vast world Kakele is.

The Kakelium island is a new addition to the game that players can explore. It is accessible by players of level 50+ and it will host Kakele seasonal events, such as the Halloween and the Easter! Yes, Kakele Easter event will happen randomly throughrough the month of April. Happy egg hunt!

The Nano-gold swap system, which allowed players to exchange in-game currency for real money, has been removed from the game. This decision was made due to legal and abuse implications that arose from the system’s implementation. This change is sure to improve the overall fairness and balance of the game.

Houses have been revamped, with a new bed system that allows players to rest and recover their stamina faster. Additionally, the amount of vault space house owners have is now dependent on the size of their house, starting from the current available space of 200 slots.

A new exclusive Patreon outfit has been added to the game, which players can unlock by supporting the game’s development through Patreon. Check our Patreon program for more details on how to obtain the outfit.

We are pleased to announce that Kakele will now have a new collectible card system! At first, the cards will only be available from a few of our bosses, but in the next update we will bring the full card system to the game with many more exciting features.

We are excited to see how our players will engage with the new card system by collecting and trading with others. We believe this will add a new layer of depth and challenge to the game, and we are eager to see our players’ reactions.
Finally, the new hotkeys grouping system allows players to group their hotkeys into categories, making it easier to manage and use specific abilities and items.

We worked on other several smaller features, changes and improvements to the game, listed below:

– Spells in the spellbook are now organized and grouped toghether.

– Increased the frequency of the Crystal Eaters event.

– Reduced the death penalty at lower levels. Players below level 100 will lose 0.25% of their experience, players below level 250 will lose 0.50%, and players below level 500 will lose 0.75%. Players above level 500 will continue to lose 1%.

– Nerfed the magic spells of some low-level creatures.

– Nerfed Xeru and removed its ability to summon other common dragons.

– Added a new Corrupted Ice Elementals cave.

– Added lava bow and sword as drops to monsters.

– Fixed a bug where non-transferable coins could not be used to buy server boosts.

– Added a “Delete All Screenshots” button.

– Improved in-game announcements and the way they are displayed.

– Reworked some low-level storyline quests to make them easier for new players to learn.
