If you felt that the visuals, gameplay, or chat needed a little fine-tuning, then good news: the team has been working hard to make our journey through the multiverse smoother, more stable, and more enjoyable.
Below, I’ve explained each change so nobody gets lost. Let’s check it out!
Improvements & New Features#
- Hide ghosts during battle in Legacy Worlds: There is now an option for players on Legacy Worlds to hide ghosts from other worlds while in combat, avoiding visual clutter during critical moments.
- Mana Shield and trap damage: Damage from map traps and mechanics like spikes now affects the Mana Shield again.
- Default hotkey opacity: The transparency of hotkey backgrounds is now set to 70% by default.
- News feed on the login screen: The latest official site updates now appear directly on the game’s login screen.
- Players online organized by world: The online player list is now automatically sorted by world.
- UI improvements for online players: The online player list interface has been redesigned to look cleaner and be easier to navigate.
- Larger map font by default: No more squinting! The map text size is now larger by default.
- Chat translation while tabs are closed: Chat messages continue to be translated even if the chat tab is closed at that moment.
- Target priority system: Target selection now prioritizes local players and creatures before focusing on ghosts from other worlds.
- Recommended quest level markers: The recommended level markers for quests were updated to better reflect each quest’s actual difficulty.
- Ping indicator colors: The colors used for ping quality were refreshed to make connection readings easier to interpret.
- Guild and Party chat translation: The automatic chat translation system now also works in Guild and Party channels.
- Ghost and visitor visibility: It is now easier to see and identify ghosts and visitors roaming around the map.
- World display: The world list and server status now feature a cleaner visual layout.
- Bestiary tips: Bestiary text and tips were improved to help during hunts.
- Chat translation accuracy: Automatic message translation is now smarter and more accurate.
- World transfer messages: The interface messages that appear when switching worlds were rewritten to be clearer.
- Font rendering: Text display and font rendering were improved across the game.
- Grass visuals: Grass tufts across the map now have a cleaner look.
- Audio adjustments: The sound system was adjusted to reduce sharp screeching noises and stuttering.
- Local chat rework: Local chat messages were rebuilt for a cleaner presentation.
- Recoil animations: New recoil animations were added to combat.
- Multiverse fade effect on messages: Multiverse fade effects now also apply to local messages.
- Battle list positioning: The battle list can now be repositioned wherever it’s most comfortable for you.
- Battle list spacing: An option was added to adjust the battle list’s bottom spacing.
Bug Fixes#
- Bosses and the Conqueror status in PvP: Bosses no longer trigger the Conqueror status on PvP servers.
- Text alignment: Visual text alignment bugs were fixed.
- Invalid card bug: The issue that displayed invalid cards was resolved.
- Aqua world name color: The display color of the Aqua world name was corrected.
- Message alignment: Chat messages now align properly on screen.
- Transfer interface: Text formatting in the Server Transfer screen was corrected.
- Reset of the “Ignore Loot” option: Fixed a bug where the “Ignore Loot” option reset after logging out.
- Audio in story dialogues: Fixed sound playback during story dialogues.
- Memory in animated containers: Resolved a memory leak issue related to animated containers/chests.
- House expiration dates: Display errors that showed the wrong house expiration dates were fixed.
- Chatgepete Bestiary progress: The Chatgepete boss now counts correctly for Bestiary progression.
- Map inconsistencies: Several small map bugs and visual glitches in the environment were fixed.
- Chat window crash: Fixed a sudden game crash when interacting with the chat window.
- House window crash: Fixed a crash when opening the house interface.
- Fishing window crash: Fixed a crash related to the fishing UI.
- Fonts on non-pixel-perfect resolutions: Text rendering was fixed on screens with non-pixel-perfect resolutions.
- News loading: Fixed an issue that prevented game news from loading.
- Other minor fixes: Several other small map, UI, and general bug fixes were implemented.
Technical Notes#
- Library updates: Internal game libraries were updated to improve performance, stability, and security.
