Hey adventurers! Nina here, the blogger who doesn’t live on gossip and spoilers alone! Today I came to give a really cool history lesson, because the topic is one of the most fascinating, rich, and tragic islands in our beloved Kakele Online: the incredible city of Kebelessa!
Many of you arrive there still early in your journey, but I bet most don’t know the glorious past and spooky mysteries this land hides. So tighten your armor and come with me to discover why Kebelessa is known as the “City of Promises”!
The Glorious Past and Total Destruction#
Anyone who sees the village calm today would never guess that Kebelessa was once the grand capital of the Kingdom! It was there that the imposing royal castle stood, where nobles and the entire royalty lived. In the beginning, the region was formed by travelers who settled on the island and, amazed by the scenery, called the place “Ke Belessa.”
But peace did not last long in the game lore. During the brutal and bloody Seven Years War, the city suffered a devastating attack from the terrible Dark Knights. They destroyed everything in sight and reduced the castle to rubble.
After seven years of many deaths, the enemy forces were banished into the unknown. With the end of the conflict, the royalty decided to move the capital to Muroria, a neighboring city that was developing quickly. The current village of Kebelessa was rebuilt and inhabited by the descendants of those brave workers who refused to abandon their roots.
Geography and Points of Interest: Ruins and Legendary Tombs#
Geographically, the island is a feast for explorers, mixing forests, mountains, and even a desert. If you like adventure, keep an eye on these spots:
The Ruins of the Old Castle: South of the village, the place has been reclaimed by nature and is now watched over by horrendous and very powerful creatures, the harpies.
The Cemetery: A dark place where humble citizens, mages, and brave warriors of the war rest. It is there that the tombs of legendary adventurers who marked the MMORPG lie, such as Freezex, AC, Broca, Kriss, and Nick.
The Boss: The Fearsome Mother Worm#
Not everything is roses in the rural life of the villagers. In addition to dealing with common farm problems — such as pack dogs, fauns, and even a cursed scarecrow — the population faces a terrible plague.
The greatest underground danger on the island (and one of the most classic bosses) is the Mother Worm. This giant worm is hidden in caves to the south and has survived since the time when these creatures were used in battles against the Mage Guild. She is largely responsible for the worm infestation attacking the region!
Important Figures You Need to Know#
Even though it is no longer the capital, the village is loved by its inhabitants. The bounty hunter Mayra, for example, swears she would never trade Kebelessa for Muroria! Also, the community maintains a very peaceful diplomatic relationship with Taurus, the minotaur from the neighboring village. Walking through the streets, you will bump into iconic characters:
- Maedina: A fortune teller who runs a world event in the city, reading palms and tarot cards to predict players’ futures.
- Uncle Zarpa: A merchant with the soul of a sly pirate. He has a boat and is the only one able to take you to the Pirate Refuge — but only if you know the secret password.
- Jay: A young girl who lives with her farmer uncle after her parents died as heroes serving the god Cos.
- Melo: A former adventurer hero who was turned into a dog by a witch and ended up getting used to the good stray life on the city’s streets.
- Onilda: A charismatic witch who will teach you your first spells.
The Birthplace of Heroes and Access to the Infinite Dungeons#
For Kakele players, reaching Kebelessa is a true milestone of progression! New players use the island to level up to level 25, helping with city repairs and facing their first major bosses.
When stepping into the village, the citizens warmly greet players with the most honorable title of all: “Hero of the Capybaras” (yes, my capybara heart melts with pride!). And best of all: reaching Kebelessa is the fundamental prerequisite to finally unlock access to Kakele’s dangerous and lucrative Infinite Dungeons!
